Frequently Asked Quetions (FAQs)

What if I am not artistic and can’t even draw a stick figure?

Then you are perfect for these classes.  First I don’t want you to draw a stick figure. You do not need any experience.  The classes are for beginners and up.  The classes are geared to those who have either never painted, struggle with taking time out for themselves to be creative, want to try something creative but don’t know where to start, want to explore different paint mediums, who just need to get out of the house.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! I have everything you need to create your painting or project.

What mediums do you work in?

Watercolours and Acrylics.

Do you make everyone follow exactly the same painting?

No.  When you come to my studio, you are given options of paintings you would like to try and you choose the colours that you are attracted to.  The goal is to have you go home with a painting you want to hang up.

What are the prices for the classes?

Acrylic and watercolour classes in my studio are $50.
When I travel outside my studio they are $60.
All the supplies and taxes are included.

How many people do you need to hold a class?

When I have scheduled classes in my studio,  I hold the class even if there is only one person signed up. To book a class in my studio I require two people prepaid.

If you want to book a class outside my studio the minimum is 6 people and that also must be prepaid before the date of the class.

Where are you located?

Winter months – September to May, maybe June I am at my home studio on 68 Upper Falls Road just 10 km north of Vermilion Bay. ON, on Hwy #105.
Summer months – July to September I am at my Cabin studio down Sleepy Dog Road in Perrault Falls, ON.

What is Paint, Paddle and Picnic?

It is a day-cation, so a full day of play at the lake.  We aim to get in some paddling, have a delicious lunch and create a painting.  If the weather does not cooperate we do two art projects.  Find more info on my PPP page here.

Do you need to know how to Kayak or paddle on a Stand Up Paddle Board?

No, I give you an introductory lesson and am out in and on the water with you.  It is a shallow beach, perfect for first timers.
