Hello! I'm Helen Grymaloski. I would like to tell you a little about myself and how I became a full time entrepreneur, artist, art teacher and outdoor enthusiast.
I am a forever resident of Northwestern Ontario. I love where I live, my family and what I do. I have a passion for art, creating paintings with acrylics and watercolor. I love paddling, both kayaks and stand up paddle boards. I am not much of a risk taker, some paddlers might not think I do much at all. Though these may seem rather different activities, the thing they have in common is that they allow me to create, play, relieve stress, take time out for myself, meditate, relax, find joy in the moment and so much more. They are also the activities that may have saved my sanity more than once.
Over the years I have had many titles; daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver.
My interests have been many: crafter, photographer, seamstress, painter, scrapbooker.
For work I have been a nursery school teacher, a newspaper delivery lady, a cleaner, a seamstress, a store clerk, a tourist camp manager and a personal support worker.
These were all things I defined myself by, but I always knew there was so much more I wanted to do. When I took the leap into being an entrepreneur, I really had no idea what that was going to look like. At that point I did not consider myself a teacher or even an artist.
I struggled with my own self judgement and a lot of "not good enough chatter". I really believed I needed a certificate to say I was "trained" to be an artist or a teacher. What I hadn't grasped yet was that I had so much life experience to share and that allows me
to teach from my heart.
I knew I wanted to focus on women, offer alternative self care activities, help others to put themselves first to fill up their cups.
The purpose of my business and what I offer, is to provide alternative self care options(choices) for women especially. Ways to divert from their everyday lives, relax, have fun, laugh, learn to play again, find joy, recharge, rejuvenate. Give themselves permission to do something just for them.
